Highlander is pleased to announce a new representation for systems used in-plant dispensing of liquids. Novaflow Systems, a Canadian company, has expertise in designing in-plant systems, as well as offering a line of prepackaged systems. |
| February 15, 2011 |
Most modern plants have some form of auto-dispensing of liquid phases these days. For example the
simplest use might be measuring a combination of driers, anti-skin, flatting agents, etc in a premeasured
lot for addition to the batch at one time. These expensive products are often mis-weighed, costing money
and time.
Another use might be for combining tint bases and colorants in small or large quantities.
Whatever your requirements, Novaflow can provide from medium accuracy, down to very very precise
accuracies, controlled by specialized valves and load cells. Small volumes, or large volumes, Novaflow
can provide the correct system. Please ask us for further information as it pertains to your particular
situation.

pHLEX 110
pHLEX 110 neutralizing agent for paints and coatings is a low-odor, pH neutralizing and stabilizing additive designed
for easy incorporation and long-term pH stability in all types of latex, emulsion, and water reducible paints and
coating. It was designed to replace ammonium hydroxide and other organoamine pH neutralizers. Significant odor reduction
of the final paint formulation is typically achieved through the use of pHLEX 110 neutralizing agent, particularly when
used in place of ammonium hydroxide.
pHLEX 110 neutralizing agent is supplied as a low-viscosity liquid for easy handling and incorporation. It has
a VOC content of 54%, and will often reduce the VOC of waterborne coatings compared to other organoamines. In addition,
pHLEX 110 neutralizing agent was designed with a significantly lower product odor to minimize amine odor in handling
and manufacturing areas.
LIOCOAT 575
LIOCOAT 575 synthetic polymeric emulsifier, recommended to incorporate and stabilize water in enamel and alkyd
architectural paints, obtaining emulsions that are stable, brilliant and easy to produce. LIOCOAT 575 maintains the paint
original characteristics, without causing gloss and drying losses or change in film coloration.
